Living God’s Faithfulness

story

A living testament to God’s faithfulness.

Cora came to Youth for Christ as a teen mom, seeking support, encouragement, and community. She was referred by the local pregnancy center, hoping to connect with other young women facing similar challenges. While attending Parent Life, Cora encountered the Gospel in a deeply personal way and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. From that moment, she immersed herself in learning about Him and growing in her faith.

Since then, Cora’s journey has been one of transformation and service. She now serves as Office Manager at YFC, supporting the ministry behind the scenes, while also stepping into Campus Life ministry to mentor middle and high school girls—the same age she was when God first brought her to YFC. Through this role, she loves building relationships, walking alongside teens, and pointing them to the hope we have in Christ.

Cora reflects on her experience: “Serving teens has shown me how God can move in powerful ways, even when life looks messy or uncertain. I’ve learned that God delights in using ordinary people—like me—to share His extraordinary hope.” Even in just a few months in her role, she has seen the joy of growth in both her faith and in the lives of the young women she mentors.

Family is central to Cora’s life. She and her husband, Bobby, have been married for almost three years and have a son, Thomas, who keeps them on their toes and fills their hearts.

Together, they hope to continue growing their family.

Her favorite verse, Romans 8:28, reflects her journey: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

Cora’s story is a living testament to God’s faithfulness—transforming her life, equipping her to impact the next generation, and showing how ordinary people can participate in God’s extraordinary work.
